We began class today by turning in our weekly DOL and our revised, final pargraph on setting or imagery.
After completing these tasks, students took their weekly DOL quiz.
Once the quiz was finished, students working on page 207 of the Reader, completing reading comprehension questions on "Where Have You Gone Charming Billy?" These are due on Tuesday for anyone who could not complete them in class.
Our final shift involving moving into Tupac's lyrice "Me Against the World," our final survivor selection. We discussed the obstacles Tupac addresses in his song and how he validates that education is the most valuable resource one has to surmount these obstacles. We did complete our study of these lyrics, but will return to them on Tuesday.
HW: Begin reviewing the survivor selections in preparation for an objective assessment on Friday. We will be in the computer lab on Wednesday typing our paragraphs on "Cask of Amontillado." Students will have to write the additional paragraph for homework on Tuesday.
